デスメタルとは何か。人類が問いかける時、その存在を無視することは不可能であると言って遜色ない。
Chuck Schuldiner率いるDEATHの誕生から僅か3年後、1987年に結成されたNECROPHILEは90年代初頭に国産のデスメタルとして初めて米国ツアーを行っている。
いまや当時の姿が伝説となったSADISTIC INTENTやDECEASEDらと共に行ったライブはフォロワーの記憶にしっかりと刻まれ、現在に至るまで語り継がれている。
NECROPHILEのメンバーは、CRIMINAL CHRIST、MULTIPLEX、MESSIAH DEATH、TRANSGRESSORという豪華な経歴の持ち主で構成され、
国内のディストロやシーンが皆無だったその時代に既にDEATHやMASSACREを嫌というほど聴きこんでいた。
2012年の再結成は晴天の霹靂と言うべき、というのもNECROPHILEに限っては近年の再結成ブームに乗っかるといった風ではなく、ローカルのシーンで若者達と同じ目線で実直に活動しながら新たな作品を発表し続けているのだ。
近年さらにスピード感を増した威風堂々のデスラッシュ。

NECROPHILE, one of the originators of death metal, will be here to show us some things will stay only for your eyes to see the new dimension of its core.
Being the very first Japanese death metal band to have played in US back in the early '90, it is deeply engraved in our memory that they shared stage with legendary bands such as SADISTIC INTENT and DECEASED.
In the late '80s around the time of their formation, when underground metal distributions and scenes here were still almost non-existant, those crazy maniacs were already heavily into bands like DEATH and MASSACRE.
The band is consisted of members and ex-members of CRIMINAL CHRIST, MULTIPLEX, MESSIAH DEATH and TRANSGRESSOR.
After their 2012 resurrection which was a revelation to all, they kept pushing themselves to play regularly in the local scene and are still producing new materials so sick and raw, dark and evil at the same time.
So make yourselves comfortably agonized while they perform. Headbang for life to their old and new, horror-themed filthy riffs. Iconic pure deathrashing blastworks for its own sake!
